Procter & Gamble implements demand sensing

Procter Gamble has begun implementing Terra Technology’s Multi-Enterprise Demand Sensing. MDS uses downstream data from sources, such as channel inventory, warehouse withdrawals and retailer forecasts, to provide visibility into the movement of goods. FTA welcomes £9.5bn infrastructure spend

Chums win for Hermes

Hermes has won a three-year contract with mail order company Chums, for which it will provide a nationwide home delivery solution. The deal, for which Hermes will use its standard two-day service, will see the company handle approximately 250,000 deliveries of clothing, lifestyle, and assisted living products ordered via the Chums’ website and catalogue offering. DPD gets green light for £100m Hinckley hub

The NACCO Materials Handling Group plant in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, where Hyster Big Trucks are manufactured, has won a Dutch environmental award, Milieuprijs Westenweurt 2013.
