Road Transport Media acquires Campbell Automotive

Road Transport Media, the owner of Commercial Motor, Motor Transport, Truck Driver, TruckNet UK and Tip-ex, has added data marketing to its portfolio with the acquisition of the brands and assets of Campbell Automotive, a business focused on the provision of data services for the truck and van sector.

The deal, for an undisclosed sum, will give Road Transport Media clients access to an unrivalled database of UK commercial vehicle operators, along with a team of specialist data analysts to manage the data on their behalf.

“This is a very significant acquisition for our business,” said Andy Salter, managing director of Road Transport Media. “Since we set the business up through the acquisition of Commercial Motor, Motor Transport and Truck Driver from Reed Business Information in 2011, we have had data services very much in our plan, and thus the Campbell acquisition is an important step forward for us.”

Campbell Automotive employs 10 members of staff at its Leyland, Lancashire, headquarters and all will be transferring to Road Transport Media as part of the acquisition. “We are delighted to welcome the Campbell team into the fold,” added Salter. “The staff at Leyland are specialists in data marketing and we will be working together with Tim Campbell, the former owner, to continue the development of the business in the coming years.”

Campbell Automotive, a division of Road Transport Media, offers a wide range of data marketing services covering list rental, data cleansing, data management, lead generation and telemarketing.
