Treasure dig Scania

Lincolnshire-based Treasure Transport has spent £1.4m on 14 new Scania R420 tractor units.

The vehicles, a mixture of fleet additions and replacements, will help handle a growth in business for the bulk liquids transport specialist.

Treasure MD Peter Greenhalgh (pictured in one of the newtrucks) said the investment was made now before the introduction of Euro-6 emission standards.

“These new units are returning excellent levels of fuel consumption too. We are delighted. They look very striking in the new fleet livery. The old one had been in use since 2002 so we thought we would update it with a fresher, more contemporary look,” said Greenhalgh.

As well as its new tractor units, Treasure has just taken delivery of a specially designed tanker built to look like two beer cans end to end, complete with ring-pulls on the top.

The company is a Palletline member.
