Fuel theieves target Clockwork Removals trucks

Fuel thieves have targeted vehicles parked on a Lincolnshire industrial estate, siphoning around 150 litres of diesel from removal trucks.

The thieves broke into Clockwork Removals’ site on the Fairfield industrial estate in Louth between Friday 25 January and Monday 28 January, when the site was not in use.

Louth branch manager Toby Swain told that there have been a number of fuel siphoning incidents across the industrial estate, but no one has yet been caught.

“They are going on a spree across the industrial estate. Now it’s just a case of patching up the fence they cut through and making sure the CCTV is working,” Swain said.

The removals company, which has an O-licence to operate four vehicles and one trailer out of the Louth site, said that this was the second fuel siphoning incident the company had become victim to in five years.

If anyone has any information about the incident they should call Lincolnshire Police on 101.
