Calling all golfers! Places still available at The Truck Open, 19 June, Heythrop Park

The road transport industry’s own golfing day, The Truck Open 2014, is taking place on 19 June at Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire and limited places remain available. All standards of golfer are welcome to take part in the event, which is being organised by Commercial Motor owner Road Transport Media.

“We’ve got trick shot specialist Jeremy Dale booked to entertain you on arrival, and have spot prizes, competitions and a few nice surprises for you as you make your way round the fabulous 18 hole park land course circling the stately home,” said Road Transport Media MD Andy Salter.

“We’re planning a mid-morning double shotgun start and will be running a Stableford competition with the best two points scoring on 10 holes, best three on four and all four scores contributing to the final four holes, so the pressure is on all team members to perform.”

After the tournament, there will be a three-course gala dinner with prize giving, charity auction and entertainment.

To enter a four-ball the cost is £500, with £10 donated to charity for every golfer who participates. “The cost covers coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, free use of the driving range, golf with buggies and the gala dinner in the evening,” said Salter.

Heythrop Park has more than 300 rooms available overnight so golfers can leave the car in the car park and enjoy the day.

A number of sponsorship options are also available for companies that want to raise their profile in front of this gathering of industry leaders.
