CV Show 2014: Deker to launch load-restraint system for double-deck trailers

Trailer manufacturer Deker will be launching a double-deck load restraint system at the CV Show later this month.

The system has, according to Deker, been designed to overcome the typical loading challenges faced by pallet operators in a hub environment.

Working with Palletline member Welch’s Transport for the past six months to develop the product, Deker said it had achieved its aim to design a sustainable, workable and robust system, which will contain the load on the upper deck, whilst restraining the goods stored on the lower deck.

The trailer firm has also ensured that stowage of the system does not intrude into the load area – which must remain clear in a working hub environment – with the Deker Maxideck allowing full stowage of both the curtain and the load-restraint mechanism to the rear of the trailer.

Graeme Wilson, Deker technical and sales director, added that he was confident the new system will “at last bring conformity of operation” to the industry.

“We are excited that the latest development in our Maxidek trailer now makes this the market leading pallet network trailer,” Wilson said.

Deker will be exhibiting its products on stand 5A 110 at the CV Show, Birmingham NEC, 29 April to 1 May, where it will also be giving away a 2014 FIFA World Cup match planner, or a mini football.
