Allports Group refurbish Stoke dealership

Renault Trucks dealer Allports Group has completed a £750,000 refurbishment of its Stoke-on-Trent site after purchasing it last year.

The company had previously rented the site but now ownership has allowed it to be able to refurbish the site, said co-MD Mark Sanders.

At the moment, it is a service centre, but it sits on four acres and the dealership is only using half of it. The plan is to develop it into a full sales dealership for truck and vans, with rentals to complement the existing service and parts operation.

Sanders added that he has also invested in the new Range T tractor.

“We have got 20 going into the spot rental and contract hire fleet over the next two-to-three-months,” he said.

Allports Group will be attending this year’s CV Show at the NEC in Birmingham (29 April-1 May) and will be using the event to showcase its holistic service. While Allports offers rental and has a bodyshop, the company also sells its own Deker Trailers, which means an operator can get everything from one supplier, explained Sanders.

The firm’s stand at this year’s show will unveil several safety and operation innovations on two trailers. The MaxiDek double-deck will include a new curtain system, which ensures both sides of the trailer are fully accessible for loading/unloading, as well as a load restraint system; while the ClearDek pillarless trailer will sport new aerodynamic profiling at the front and rear.
