Move over Eddie Stobart Trucks Trailers, there’s a new trucking show in town. TruckWorld TV, a brand new series promising Top Gear-style entertainment for trucks will launch this week on Thursday 30 January.

The weekly half hour TV series will be presented by the former presenters of Truck on Men Motors, Tim Campbell (right) and Rob Hallam (left).

The show’s first episode will begin with a trip to the Volvo truck factory in Tuve, Sweden, and a surprising poll asking truck drivers how long they think the UK would last without trucks.

Later episodes of TruckWorld TV will also have reviews of the new Volvo FH, Renault T and Daf XF as well as films shot at the Moscow motor show and at Cartwright Trailers in Cheshire. There’s also an exclusive interview with senior traffic commissioner Beverley Bell.

Six episodes of the 30 minute show, filmed at the awarding-winning J38 Truck Stop on the M6, will be broadcast. The first episode of TruckWorld TV will air at 19:30 on 30 January on Showcase 2 (Sky channel 192 and Freesat 402) and will be repeated on Sundays at 15:30.

If you haven’t got Sky or Freesat, each episode will be made available 24 hours after the initial broadcast at the programme’s website TruckWorldTV and can be downloaded on to a mobile device, tablet or laptop for later viewing.
