Condor Logistics joins Palletways

Portsmouth firm Condor Logistics has been appointed to take on some of the PO postcode for Palletways.

The operator, based in Hilsea, Portsmouth, has an O-licence for 45 vehicles and 300 trailers and has been operating for more than 60 years.

James Morris, MD of Condor Logistics, says: “We are delighted to be joining the Palletways network, since the extensive coverage that Palletways provides, will open up new business opportunities for our company both in the UK and in mainland Europe.”

Condor Logistics previously covered the Channel Islands for UK Pallets, a job now undertaken by Portsmouth-based Himelink (trading as Profreight).

The PO postcode (6 to 11 and 18 to 22) had been under the joint care of fellow network members Frederick R Miller and AFS Haulage, which stepped in after the collapse in September 2010 and subsequent liquidation of Southampton’s Boyes Conning.

Frederick R Miller, which brought Kent-based Brooks Transport in April, operates around 50 vehicles from three depots, covering the TN, BM, GU and KT postcodes, as well as some of the SL and RH areas for Palletways.

Easteligh, Hampshire-based AFS operates within some of the Southampton region, the Channel Islands and also the Portsmouth area for Palletways, covering PO (1 to 5, 12 to 17, and 30 to 41 including the Isle of Wight).
